When Ulquiorra killed Ichigo, Ichigo lost his will and the Hollow (aka White) completely got control of his body. By training with the Vizardos, he was able to control an incomplete Hollow form (consisting of a Hollow mask and a Shinigami body), supplemented with his Shinigami powers. Ichigo could access the power of the Hollow at any time but he had to learn to suppress its control. Thus, by training with the Vizardos (Shinigamis with the ability to become hollows through a process called Hollowfization), Ichigo learned to harness his Hollow form and integrate it with his Shinigami form. Ichigo manifested these Hollow powers along with his Shinigami powers. The hollow bits did not take any effect upon Masaki, however, they became a part of Ichigo and his powers. That hollow’s bits resided within his mother, Masaki, and were eventually transferred to Ichigo in his soul. Ichigo got a hollow due to his mother being infected by a hollow. He’s a Shinigami, Hollow, Quincy, and Fullbringer, all at the same time. He has the powers and pieces of all major beings in the Bleach Universe. How Did Ichigo Get Hollow Powers?īasically, Ichigo is a hybrid being. It gave him a tremendous boost tho by which he was able to defeat Ulquiorra. However, his control was flipped and White, now, controlled Ichigo’s hollowfied body. When Ulquiorra “killed” Ichigo, Ichigo’s hollow powers kicked in in full force and he attained a complete hollow form. Ichigo already had a hollow inside him from birth i.e the white Ichigo aka White.
